Site 72 - Campsite Fuentes Blancas Cat.1

ACSI Logo

I have great difficulty in writing a short report about this site. We were looking forward to it, although there were a number of adverse reports on the ACSI site, because the surrounding area is reported to be well worth a visit having the third biggest cathedral in Spain.

When we arrived we all - no thats not true - Dicky was undecided, Sue and I took an instant dislike to the place. We don’t know why, the pitches were large and we were able to  tow straight on and on leaving tow straight off our pitch. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were heated, reasonably clean, and the showers had lashings of very hot water whooshing forcefully from the shower head.

Hated it. Hated it. Hated it. Yet the only real negative was the distance to the facilities block, there were nearer blocks but only one was open and for poor Dicky making a night time visit to the loo was a trek of epic proportions. That’s also where the water tap was, a pain in the bum every time you had to fill the aquaroll.

The early reports on ACSI are poor but the later ones not so bad but we will not be returning
