When we were last here it was actually the caravan that stayed while we stayed with relatives in an apartment on the Cumbra del Sol nearby.

Camping Javea is a very popular long stay site with many Brits and Dutch staying from September to March or April, some even leave their vans in the storage compound and travel home for Christmas.

The site is laid out on a grid with reasonable width access roads but some corners have trees that make them awkward for long outfits. Pitch sizes range from 40 to 80 sq. m and some of the larger ones have water and waste water disposal.

There are Two blocks of toilets/showers and both are well maintained and spotlessly clean with seats, paper, soap but no hand drying facilities. The showers are of a good size and there is lashings of hot water whenever you need.

On site there is everything you could wish for on a long stay, there is a book exchange, a games room (for those occasional rainy days), laundry, five-a-side pitch, tennis court, swimming pool and paddling pool (neither open in the winter).

There is a bar/restaurant on site that also sells bread in the morning. We have eaten dinner there, the meal was very good and the wine very cheap - excellent.

The site is within walking distance to the old town centre and to the sea front and port. There are several supermarkets and other shops a few minutes walk away.

This is a good site, one that we have been very comfortable to spend time at.
